Journey with "Ad-Din"
As one of Canada’s largest Islamic centers, the Islamic Foundation of Toronto (IFT) needed a reliable way to manage and display daily prayer times. With thousands of worshippers depending on accurate information, an automated system was essential.

IFT chose Ad-Din’s Prayer Times Management module to easily update and display prayer schedules on their Masjid’s LED screens, keeping the community informed at all times.

Our Biggest Challenges

MANUAL PROCESSES

We spent too much time on data entry and manual processes

COMMUNICATION

We struggled with effective and efficient parent-teacher communication

AUTOMATION

We were missing an automation, resulting in repetition of data.

REPORTING

We struggle to compile Accurate, Reliable and Consistent Reporting.

THE CUSTOMER
Founded in 1969, the Islamic Foundation of Toronto (IFT) stands as one of the oldest and most respected Muslim organizations in Canada. What began as a local mosque evolved into a 53,000 sq. ft. multi-service Islamic center, serving the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the Greater Toronto Area’s Muslim community.

IFT offers spacious prayer halls, educational facilities including a full-time Islamic school, a cafeteria, gymnasium, library, mortuary services, and ample parking. On Fridays, the Masjid welcomes over 2,000 congregants for Jumu’ah prayers, and its facilities remain open for the five daily prayers, various classes, and community events.

With such a large and active community, providing accurate and timely prayer times became a key part of IFT’s daily operations and service to its members.
Prior to adopting Ad-Din, IFT relied on manual processes to update and display daily prayer times. This included printing and physically posting paper schedules, updating digital displays manually, and occasionally notifying the congregation through emails or announcements.

This approach was prone to errors, inconsistencies, and time delays. Any changes to prayer schedules—such as seasonal time shifts or special event prayers—required manual updates across various platforms, leading to administrative burden and the risk of outdated information reaching congregants.

For a center serving thousands of worshippers daily, this system was inefficient and unable to keep pace with the needs of the growing community.
THE CHALLANGE
THE SOLUTION
To address these challenges, IFT implemented Ad-Din’s Prayer Times Management module—a centralized platform tailored for Masjid operations. With this solution, administrators can easily set, manage, and customize prayer times from a single, user-friendly dashboard. Updates are automatically pushed to the Masjid’s LED display, ensuring that worshippers receive real-time, accurate information without delay. Seasonal or event-based changes can be made effortlessly without the need for manual re-posting or on-site adjustments. The transition to Ad-Din’s system was smooth, requiring minimal training, and allowed staff to fully utilize its features. As a result, prayer times at IFT remain consistent, accurate, and reliably communicated to the congregation at all times.
Since implementing Ad-Din’s Prayer Times Management module, IFT has transformed the way it manages and communicates prayer times to its congregation. The need for manual updates, printing, or coordinating across multiple platforms has been eliminated—prayer time changes are now made through a single dashboard and instantly displayed on the Masjid’s LED screens. This has greatly reduced administrative workload while ensuring that prayer times remain accurate and consistent at all times.

The result is a smoother, more reliable experience for both staff and worshippers. Congregants can trust that the information they see is always up to date, which builds confidence in the Masjid’s operations and communication. By streamlining this essential task, IFT has not only saved time and effort but also reinforced its role as a modern, well-managed Islamic center serving its community with excellence.
