Journey with "Ad-Din"
Recognizing the need for a specialized solution, Manar Academy partnered with Ad-Din to simplify their school’s administrative tasks. With a growing student body and manual processes becoming difficult to manage, they sought a system designed to ease school management and enhance communication with parents.

Our Biggest Challenges

MANUAL PROCESSES

We spent too much time on data entry and manual processes

COMMUNICATION

We struggled with effective and efficient parent-teacher communication

MOBILITY & AUTOMATION

We were missing an automation and efficient ways to capture the data.

REPORTING

We struggle to compile Accurate, Reliable and Consistent Reporting.

THE CUSTOMER
Manar Academy was established by the Muslim Association of Kingston to meet the growing need for a full-time Islamic school in Kingston, Ontario. As the Muslim community expanded, families sought a place where children could receive both strong academics and Islamic education.

The school was created to provide a nurturing environment that balances Ontario’s curriculum with Qur’an, Islamic Studies, and Arabic, helping students develop a strong faith foundation alongside academic success. Manar Academy also addresses accessibility issues since the existing Islamic Centre is far from the city center and not easily reached by public transit.

Manar Academy is part of a broader vision by the Muslim Association of Kingston to establish a central Islamic Centre, serving as a hub for worship, education, and community growth. Today, the school continues to grow and plays a vital role in supporting the spiritual and educational needs of Kingston’s Muslim families.
As Manar Academy’s reputation grew, so did the expectations from families. Parents wanted not just strong academics and Islamic education—but also personalized attention, regular feedback, and transparency in their child’s progress.

Behind the scenes, this demand was putting serious strain on staff. Teachers and administrators were spending hours responding to individual inquiries, preparing custom updates, and trying to balance academic reporting with spiritual development. Even though the school had systems in place, they weren’t built to scale with the level of care and communication families had come to expect.

The leadership at Manar Academy realized that if they wanted to keep their strong student-teacher-parent relationships while continuing to grow, they needed a smarter way to manage data, automate communication, and give staff their time back—without compromising quality. That’s when they partnered with Ad-Din.
THE CHALLANGE
THE SOLUTION
Manar Academy runs Grade 1–2 and Grade 3–4 split classrooms, a structure that supports differentiated instruction but often introduces logistical challenges. Each class covers a broad range of subjects—Qur’an, Arabic, Science, English, Islamic Studies, Math, Physical Education, Art, Social Studies, and French—some taught collectively, others divided by grade.

Before Ad-Din, this setup made it difficult to align teaching schedules, track student progress, and generate accurate report cards. Teachers were often left managing lesson plans and marks across two curricula in the same room, while administrators had to manually sort grades by grade level when reporting time came.

Ad-Din simplified this entirely. Each subject was clearly assigned by grade group—even within a single class—allowing teachers to deliver targeted instruction without confusion. Whether combining French or separating Math by grade, the system ensured that only the relevant students appeared for each subject, making grading and progress tracking far more intuitive. At term’s end, report cards were automatically generated to reflect each student’s personalized academic path, eliminating manual formatting and saving hours of admin time.

Now, teachers focus more on teaching and less on technicalities. Admin gets clean, ready-to-send reports with a few clicks. And parents receive accurate, grade-specific insights on their child’s learning journey.

Previously, updates from the school could come from WhatsApp groups, printed memos, or last-minute emails. Ad-Din’s multi-channel notification system changed that. Now, all school-wide updates, event reminders, and even attendance alerts go out through a single platform—keeping parents consistently informed and reducing noise. Parents appreciated the clarity. Teachers appreciated the reduced back-and-forth. Admin appreciated the oversight.
Manar Academy experienced a significant improvement in operational efficiency and academic management. The flexible class and section setup allowed seamless handling, enabling teachers to manage student progress and assessments accurately across multiple subjects.

Record-keeping became more consistent and reliable, helping teachers focus on instruction rather than paperwork. Administrators found generating progress reports for midterms, finals, and ongoing assessments to be much faster and less error-prone.

Streamlined Communication Through a Single Platform
By centralizing all communication in one platform, the administration can now effortlessly send targeted messages to specific grades, classes, or sections. This focused approach ensures parents receive only the relevant information for their children, improving engagement and clarity. Teachers and staff save time with fewer miscommunications, while the administration enjoys greater oversight and control over school-wide messaging.
